Hip Hop Classes
Hip-hop dance developed from several cultures including jazz, rock, tap, and American and Latino cultures. Hip-hop is a very energetic form of dancing. It is unique in that it allows its dancers to perform with freedom of movement, adding in their own personalities. Dancer’s taking Hip Hop need to have a tennis shoe primarily used for class and wear clothing in which movement is not restricted. Come experience a Hip Hop dance at Lynchburg Elite Dance.
Kid’s Hip Hop
This class is the perfect class for students in 1st-4th grade and who want to feel the success of movement while listening to current age appropriate music. All hip hop classes focus on the downbeat and the importance of improv. Kid’s Hip Hop is encouraged to be in the spring recital and is often a crowd pleaser.
JV Hip Hop
This class is an excellent choice for a dancer in grades 5-8 with or without previous dance experience. This class uses current age appropriate and family approved music. Dancers in this class can expect to be encouraged to be big, focus on the downbeat and begin to work on floor work. This class is encouraged to be in the spring recital and always a high energy crowd pleaser.
Varsity Hip Hop
This class is an excellent choice for a dancer in grades 8 and up with or without previous dance experience. As well as making sure music is current, age and family appropriate music the dancer in this class can expect to learn about isolations and have exposure to more intricate choreography varsity hip hop dancers are encouraged to be in the spring recital and is always a high energy crowd pleaser.
